A Canadian federal agency, Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), has granted a huge fund worth of $185, 000 to EduNova, a non-profit organisation, to fine tune its operations in a bid to attract more international students to Nova Scotia.
Established in 2005, EduNova advertises Nova Scotia’s academic programmes across the world. Since its inception, the ratio of overseas students enrolling in the state’s educational institutes has increased manifold.
EduNova’s members include 29 universities, colleges and school boards. This organisation not only works on pulling international students from Japan, Korea, the Middle East, Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela to Nova Scotia but also brings in talented teachers and educationists.
The Canadian government and immigrations authorities want the organisation to widen its network and speed up its efforts to encourage more students to seek admissions in Nova Scotia’s universities and colleges.
Last year, the ACOA granted $215,000 to EduNova which, in turn, came up with excellent output. Keeping in view its past performance, the federal agency has funded the organisation more so that it works effectively.
Canada poses to be an ideal destination for international students who aspire to get quality higher education coupled with other facilities like boarding, lodging and work opportunities. The second biggest economy of the world offers a warm welcome to both the students and the job seekers applying for visas.
Nova Scotia homes to a number of world class educational institutes which provide well-standard academic excellency in many top disciplines. Most of the students, after earning degrees from Nova Scotia, are hired by the Canadian companies on competitive packages. Thus, the state is contributing marvellously to the country’s economic growth.
It is expected that the increased funding of EduNova will refine the educational and recruitment programmes of Nova Scotia which targets to become a paradise for overseas students by the coming couple of years.
