Germany’s Government Likey To Introduce Draft Law

Reportedly, Germany’s government is likely to introduce the new immigration policy to welcome the skilled workforce from the non-European countries.

At the moment, the country is dealing with the shortage of the labour, which compelled the government to take appropriate steps to deal with the overall situation.

Last week, during the cabinet’s meeting, it was decided to bring in draft law to cope up with the expected economic crises, as Germany does not have sufficient number of skilled labors.

According to the draft law, if skilled workers have college degree along with an employment contract they will be eligible to obtain two-year permit to stay in Germany.

However, if someone’s employment contract would not prove that he/she can earn up to 44,000 Euros /year, he/she will not be eligible for the draft law.

Coming back to the cabinet’s meeting, the government of Germany has also issued a statement in which it asserted that the new immigration policy would help the country to be acknowledged as an attractive and ideal place to live.

Moreover, the government also claimed that the non-European immigrants will find it very easy to arrive in Germany following the new draft law.

“The draft law makes Germany a more attractive place to work for well-educated foreign immigrants. With this (step) the long-term influx of highly-qualified workers will be made easier,” Germany’s government stated.

Earlier, German institutions’ expert committee has suggested in its report that the government is supposed to review the current immigration policy.

The committee, which was formulated in April 2011, revealed that the immigration laws have never supported the local companies to hire foreign employers, which was affecting the economy of the country.

“More and more German citizens become increasingly aware of the fact that immigration of alien talents into Germany bears positive effects on the country,” an expert committee cited.

However, following the Garman’s cabinet decision, it is expected that if draft law will be implemented, the skilled workers can earn an opportunity to get immigration easily, which will streamline the overall situation.
